    1. ABOUT THIS PRIVACY POLICY

    1. 1.1.  This Privacy Policy sets out the PCOC's policy in relation to the collection, use, and storage of your personal information. The purpose of this policy is to give you assurance that when you deal with the PCOC, the information that you have with us will be, to the best of our ability, stored safely and securely.

    2. 1.2.  This Privacy Policy describes generally how we manage your personal information and safeguard your privacy.

    3. 1.3.  It is in our interest to protect your privacy so that we may build a relationship with you.

    4. 1.4.  We may amend or update our Privacy Policy from time to time as well as in accordance to any changes in legislation.

    5. 1.5.  Future updates to this Privacy Policy will be made online and will not be updated to the individual or member. Should you require a copy, the policy will be kept on our website at www.parramattachamber.com.au/privacy, and you can request it in writing at privacy@parramattachamber.com.au.

    2. WHY WE ARE COLLECTING INFORMATION ABOUT YOU

    1. 2.1.  We need your personal information so that we may provide you with the various services offered by the PCOC (either in your capacity as a member of the PCOC or as a member of the public). This also includes information that we require so that we may process payments to us.

    2. 2.2.  In addition to the information that we collect about you when you become a member of the PCOC, we will from time collect information from you via surveys to conduct research on your opinion on current services provided by the PCOC, potential new services that may be provided by the PCOC, or in order to more effectively advocate on your behalf as a member of the PCOC or a member of the business community in Parramatta.

    3. COLLECTING INFORMATION FROM YOU

    1. 3.1.  We will only collect the information from you that is necessary for us to provide the particular activity that we are trying to carry out at the time that the information is being sought.

    2. 3.2.  We will typically collect personal information when you give it to us or when we ask it from you for example, when you become a member of the PCOC or when we make enquiries with you when conducting surveys.

    3. 3.3.  We may also collect contact details and other personal information if you are on a sub- committee of the PCOC or participating in a meeting or a consultation with us.

    4. 3.4.  Sometimes we may need to collect sensitive information about you, for example, to publish a position paper, or to advocate on your behalf as a member of the PCOC or a member of the business community in Parramatta. This might include information about your health, racial or ethnic origin, political views, association memberships, religious beliefs, sexual orientation, and criminal history.

    1. 4.1.  We may contact you to inform you of new products, services or promotions we may offer and to conduct market research when we have your consent, or it is otherwise allowed. We may use your personal data to personalise our offering and to provide you with more relevant services, for example, to make recommendations and to display customised offers and advertising our services and may include third party offers.

    2. 4.2.  We may disclose personal information about you to a third party in certain circumstances.

    3. 4.3.  The PCOC uses a number of service providers to whom we disclose personal information. These include providers that host our website, partners whom we hold events with, and event managers that we have engaged to assist us with planning and holding our various events.
