Parramatta Legal and Justice Expansion – We need Equal access to Justice for all

Future population growth will increase demand for court services. Consistency of judges and magistrates in Parramatta is a barrier for growth of the legal and justice precinct.

The vision of this Coalition is to create a powerful and effective stakeholder program where members work together to advocate for equitable access to justice services for the people of Parramatta and Greater Sydney, through the expansion of the Parramatta Legal and Justice Precinct.

Nicole Carnegie is the Acting Group Manager for the City Strategy Team, at City of Parramatta Council. Responsible for the various strategy streams within Council, including corporate, economic, social, cultural and environment, Nicole has worked at Council for over 10 years in various roles and is incredibly passionate about Parramatta and the city’s transformation.

Professor Michael Adams, is an internationally recognised specialist in corporate law, governance, securities markets regulation, and legal education (especially e-learning). Michael has been writing, teaching and regularly presenting on all these topics for over 20 years.

Professor Adams has been the former President of the Australasian Law Teachers Association, the Corporate Law Teachers Association and Chartered Secretaries Australia (now Governance Institute of Australia). He has been the recipient of the Australian University Teacher of the Year, for Law and Legal Studies, as well as the CSA President's Award.

Steve McAuley is also a Principal Solicitor of McAuley Hawach Lawyers, Steve is also a Councillor of The Law Society of New South Wales, a Board Member of the Law and Justice Foundation and a Board Member of the Specialist Accreditation Board of The Law Society of New South Wales. Steve practices principally in the areas of commercial and property disputes and deceased estate disputes.
