Some 6 weeks ago I indicated that there were 8 weeks left
before the close of entries for the Suncorp Parramatta Regional Awards for
Business Excellence.
My how time flies so now there are only 2 weeks left.
I urge and sincerely encourage you to enter these awards. As
the Chairman of the Awards Mr Paul Ogilvy rightly points out "these awards are
the only awards run by business for business".
I have been involved in these awards from their inception
and have seen many worthy winners over the years in various categories along
with exceptional overall winners.
What sets these winners apart is the fact that not only are
they excellent businesses in their own right but that they have taken the
opportunity by them entering the awards, to look closely at their respective
businesses, examined their strengths and weaknesses, compared these with their
respective competitors and then made the necessary adjustments to keep their
businesses in the fore-front.
Over the years many of those business owners who have
entered the awards have said that even though they were not category winners
they felt that they had won.
When asked why? They indicated that by entering the awards
they were forced to look in depth at their businesses something they may not
have done if it were not for them entering the awards.
So there it is, I am certain that by entering the awards
your time will be well spent looking closely at your business along with being
a most rewarding experience.
Remember also, that at the end of the judging process there
is still a cheque for $10,000 waiting for the overall winner.
