Funds raised for local charities!

Parramatta Chamber is not simply about Business looking out for itself, but is about being a part of the wider community and helping those in need.  The Chamber, although focused on the health and prosperity of the business community has a long history of charitable support.

On Friday the 1st of April 2011 the Parramatta Chamber of Commerce along with our major sponsors, Northmead Bowling Club, XXXX Gold and the Parramatta Advertiser and a number of local businesses raised in excess of $5700 for Kidswest at the Acoustic Music with Balls Event.

On Tuesday 10 May 2010 the Parramatta Chamber was host to a "Business Helping Hands Charity Golf Day".  Local businesses and Golf Day event sponsor, Bank of Queensland, North Parramatta joined forces to assist local charities in the Parramatta area.  It was a welcome break from the office as over 180 golfers and non golfers alike joined together to raise over $5,000.00 for SHINE for Kids Charity.

 Great fun was had by all at both these events with the added bonus of building business relationships and helping worthwhile charities in need of funds.

While we are constantly reading reports of companies tightening their corporate belts, it is refreshing to witness a generous display of corporate consciousness and generosity.
