Free Workshop to Win a Suncorp Award for Business Excellence

$10,000 is on offer for the 2009 Suncorp Business of the Year. Additionally, there are 11 category awards to be won; including Excellence is Sales & Marketing and Excellence in Starting a New Business.

Prizes, awards and great exposure aside, the real benefit in entering the Suncorp Western Sydney Awards for Business Excellence is the focus on business plans that compiling an entry forces business-owners to do. Simply by entering these prestigious awards, businesses for the most part improve their businesses by looking at how their business operates and whilst at the same time forcing them to think about how to make each individual aspect the best it can be.

Free workshops are being held by the Parramatta College to assist businesses put together their awards entries. These workshops we believe will improve an organisation’s chances of winning a Suncorp Western Sydney Award for Business Excellence by demonstrating how to sell your strengths tell your story and put your entry together.

Potential entrants can attend these workshops free of charge on either the 1^st or 15^th of July, between 6pm and 8pm at the offices of the Parramatta Chamber of Commerce, Level 1, 8-10 Palmer Street, Parramatta.

Chamber President Mr Trevor Oldfield encourages all businesses and not for profit organisations throughout western Sydney to throw their hat into the ring for the $10,000 prize whilst securing a greater understanding of how to run your enterprise more profitably and taking advantage of all the free publicity surrounding the awards and the gala Presentation night at Rosehill Gardens on September 1^st.

2009 is the first year that the Suncorp awards have been expanded from Parramatta to encompass the entire region of Western Sydney.
