Parramatta
businesses get bowled over for Kids West Charity.
At
the business excellence lunch held in June at the Parramatta RSL, the Chamber
was pleased to present a cheque for $1725 to Trevor Oldfield CEO Kids West,
proceeds of the Parramatta Business Barefoot Bowls Day held in March. The event
was sponsored by Parramatta RSL, Parramatta Advertiser and the Parramatta
Chamber of Commerce together with 16 teams of 4 representing many of
Parramatta's leading businesses.
"Kids West Charity are proud to be involved with the Parramatta RSL,
Parramatta Advertiser and Parramatta Chamber of Commerce in this fund raising
event. I also thank the Parramatta Chamber of Commerce who are continually
striving to help our local businesses. Proceeds from the day will go to support
the Adolescent Medicine Department and the special Shaken Baby Project at
Westmead."

The
Parramatta RSL, The Advertiser and the Chamber have confirmed that they plan to
continue the Barefoot Bowls as an annual event with plans already in place to
hold the event on Friday 26th March 2010. So start practising - we
hope to make the day bigger and better next year!
