2009 Suncorp Western Sydney Awards for Business Excellence Biggest Ever

In its initial year of expansion covering Greater Western Sydney, the 2009 Suncorp Western Sydney Awards for Business Excellence, managed by the Parramatta Chamber of Commerce, announces a record number of finalists from which the winners will be announced on Tuesday September 1^st at the Gala Presentation Night being held for the first time at Rosehill Gardens.

In their 19^th year, these prestigious awards, formally known as the Suncorp Parramatta Regional Awards for Business Excellence, have expanded to recognise businesses and not for profit organisations throughout Greater Western Sydney. Expanding the awards' focus has resulted in a record 32 finalists with each corner of western Sydney being represented. 2009 sees finalists from Mulgrave, Smithfield, Parramatta, Regents Park, Seven Hills, Rosehill, Penrith, Westmead, Burwood, Padstow, Carlingford, Baulkham Hills, Pendle Hill, Bella Vista and Kurrajong.

Having been a must-do event in the western Sydney business diary for many years, the 2009 Gala Presentation Night will be bigger than ever and for the first time is being staged at the Sydney Turf Club's spectacular Grand Pavilion at Rosehill Gardens. Plus, for the first time in many years, the 2009 Gala Presentation Night will feature a fabulous seated dinner highlighting the succulent and classy catering on offer at this magnificent venue.

This year's Gala Presentation Night theme is Roaring Twenties with attendees invited to get into the swing of things by joining the fun dressed as gangsters or flappers or anything representing that fabulous decade where fun and frivolity were foremost on everyone's mind leading up to the 1928 onset of the Great Depression. By taking us back to these carefree days, this year's theme is aimed at forgetting our current economic woes and focusing on the excellent businesses within our mist, blended with a fun night of carefree entertainment, networking and celebration.
